#GoDaddy banning all plastic #domain names from its marketplaces!
GoDaddy, the biggest domain name registrar in the world, is stepping in to save the environment.
In a Monday announcement, GoDaddy shared news of its plan to eliminate plastic domain names from its marketplaces, including Afternic.
“We’re committed to the global effort to preserve the environment, our Earth, as this is truly a heritage to the future generations,” said GoDaddy VP of Environmental Management, Bud Kemikal.
“At GoDaddy, we’re now eliminating all plastic domain names from our marketplace, just like other companies such as Starbucks are doing with similar items made out of plastic,” added Bud Kemikal.
By removing all plastic domains from its marketplaces, GoDaddy estimates that 99% fewer solid pollutants, and 99.994% less CO2 and other emissions will be released from its facilities.
“It’s amazing how much of a difference this can make, it’s our best contribution to world conservation, since Bob Parsons brought cheap elephant meat to the table of starving African nations,” said Mr. Bud Kemikal.
