The Thai cave rescue is underway, and the good news is that Elon Musk’s personal submarine won’t be needed after all.

So far, out of 12 Thai boys that got stuck in a water-flooded cave along with their not-so-wise teacher, four have been brought to the surface, safe and sound.

Meanwhile, an enterprising domainer has registered the domain names of all 12 boys involved in this Thai adventure.

12 Thai boys are about to be rescued.

Hiding behind WHOIS privacy, the domain investor registered the following names in .com, .net, .org and .XYZ :

Pawaritsorn Narongdid
Nekk Chalerm
Kittikawin Janpong
Pramod Wichasak
Phichit Paowsong
Niwit Amornchantanakorn
Bunyapoo Tantasatityanon
Ngam Yoovidhya
Somdetch Ahunai
Panthorn Pibul
Charnchai Charanachitta
Tisorn Ekaluck

The domains are all pointed to a PPC page about vacations in Thailand. There is no information about whether these domains are for sale.

Natural disasters, accidents and less dramatic global events often attract domain investors, who register the domain names of everyone involved.

In 92% of these cases, the domains drop a year later.
